Overview

Parker and Sons is currently seeking Insulation Technicians to join our team comprised of creative and energetic employees, who are dedicated to delivering the best customer service experience every day.  Our Insulation Technicians are responsible to help customers with their insulation needs by installing blown in attic insulation, performing air sealing, and removing old insulation where appropriate. This position will serve as a mentor to Insulation Apprentices.

Responsibilities

What Will I Do?

  • Installing fiberglass batt / blow insulation in residential and commercial jobs
  • Cut the insulation materials to size and install in frames, ceiling, attic, or crawlspace
  • Safely load/unload material onto work trucks
    Erect scaffolding or ladders to specific heights
  • Operate and maintain general construction tools and insulation machinery
  • Observe job site safety policy and procedures
  • Complete daily paperwork and materials inventory

Qualifications

Do I have What it Takes?

  • 1-year experience as a lead installing insulation, insulation extraction and air sealing
  • Knowledgeable of the materials being installed and the proper handling of the materials and equipment
  • Ability to converse with homeowners in a positive manner
  • Knowledgeable to perform jobs in unideal situations – “roof pitch," smaller crawl spaces and attics
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time - loading hopper, utilizing the vacuum to extract, navigating the hose for blown-in insulation and bending over to seal air penetrations.
