Due to our size and commitment to excellence, we operate an extensive fleet of service vehicles to serve customers across the Valley. Parker and Sons is currently looking for a  Fleet Readiness Specialist. This person will be responsible for executing and monitoring the company's vehicle turnover and readiness process. This role serves as the primary hands-on resource for cleaning vehicles, moving vehicles, organizing lots, and preparing vehicles for reassignment and return to service. The position also tracks each vehicle through the turnover process and works closely with the appropriate teams to ensure inventory and fleet maintenance are completed on schedule. The goal of this role is to keep vehicles organized, presentable, and turned around quickly to support operational needs.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day vehicle turnover process when employees separate from the company or swap vehicles.
  • Clean and prepare vehicles for reassignment or new hire use.
  • Track vehicle status and follow up to ensure inventory and fleet maintenance are completed in a timely manner.
  • Help ensure vehicles are washed, presentable, and ready for service.
  • Perform or assist with vehicle safety inspections.
  • Move vehicles safely between lots, service areas, wash areas, and other designated locations.
  • Maintain organized vehicle lots and ensure vehicles are parked in the correct locations.
  • Support both the Inventory and Maintenance teams as needed to help complete vehicle turnover and readiness tasks.
  • Identify and communicate vehicle readiness issues such as cleanliness concerns, missing items, damage, or delays.
  • Operate cleaning equipment such as pressure washers, shop vacs, and similar tools.
  • Follow all safety protocols and help maintain a safe work environment.
  • Perform other fleet and operational support duties as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license required with an acceptable driving record.
  • Minimum of 5 years of driving experience required.
  • Basic computer skills required, including the ability to use a tablet, laptop, smartphone, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to complete and pass a background check and drug screen 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
  • Strong organizational skills and pride in maintaining orderly vehicle lots and presentable vehicles.
  • Ability to safely operate company vehicles.
  • Ability to work comfortably in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to move throughout the interior of vehicles and repeatedly get on and off trucks and vans.
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as pressure washers, shop vacs, and similar tools.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining productivity and accuracy.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in fleet, yard, wash, and parking lot environments.
  • Regular exposure to changing weather conditions, vehicle traffic, and active work areas.
  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, climbing, driving, and moving between vehicle locations.
  • Ability to repeatedly enter and exit vehicles and safely get on and off trucks and vans.
